Came down for dove opener and had a blast, Mendel and his team really know what theyre doing. I am a very new hunter and am still trying to figure it out, Mendel and his team answered every single one of my questions and set me up in a prime location, there were birds everywhere! I will definitely be back here for more hunts to come! I loved every single minute of my dove hunt with Woodlands Hunt Club.

My buddy and our dogs hunted here this morning. What a fine morning in the field. We bagged 6 pheasant for the six that were planted. These birds are as close as you can get to wild birds. They fly, run, and look like wild birds. To top off the morning Mendel had a delicious burrito lunch delivered to us in the field. This is as good as it gets in Southern California. I would recommend this club to anyone that loves to bird hunt. Thanks Mendel!

Great day out hunting. Our dog was able to find birds and our guide was experienced. The birds were big and healthy and the manager was very nice and made sure everything went well. I definitely would recommend to any hunters, especially newer hunters as the terrain is not difficult.

Went out for dove on 3 of Mendel’s properties this season. No crowds or issues stepping over other hunters. The birds flew great all 3 days. I went this second half of the season last week and I got my bag limit of mourning dove in an HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES, it was insane! I set up two mojos on one of Mendel’s properties, checked my phone and saw that it was 0616 when the birds started dive bombing! Next thing I know I was calling Mendel at 0730 to tell him I bagged my limit and how awesome of a time it was! He’s got decoys he will let you use if you need. If you’re into dove and into the dove hunting lore and culture then you need to make your way out to one of Mendel’s properties, don’t think, just do it! I’ll be posting this review to other sites as well.

We just got back today from an AMAZING dove hunt with Woodland’s! My only regrets are we didn’t have more shooters, more ammo, and more target practice! There are birds everywhere! Not only doves but there are thousands of other birds that fly into the aqueducts and provide watching enjoyment during the very small amounts of time when you aren’t seeing doves. I will definitely be back as soon as possible! The premium package is a great value!!

I signed up to dove hunt for the last day of the dove season through Woodlands. After two failed attempts to try on my own when an experienced hunting buddy couldn’t go. Yes I’m a rookie. Last year was my first dove hunt and it took me all day to limit. Yesterday Sept 15,2019 was also prob the hottest day of the year. I got there at 5:30am after a 3hr drive, only one other hunter there, and Woodlands guide there just after. Had us set up and on a field by about 6. I got 11 birds in 2hrs 45min! And I missed so many easy shots! To hot after about 9am and that was the only reason I didn’t try to come back for the evening session and try to limit. Had I not missed so many easy ones I could have limit…on the last day…and the hottest…in just a few hours! So worth it!

The best place to go hunt upland bird. Great guides, phenomenal dogs, and fun atmosphere. I would recommend this to everyone from beginners to pros. You can go early and practice trap shooting before the hunt, then enjoy the outdoors with your dogs or theirs. For a few extra dollars they will clean the birds for you while you relax after the hunt. Everyone should go.

My wife & I have hunted with Mendle for years, Dove, Pheasant & Turkey, Opening day for Dove 2020 I took 7 experienced hunters to Woodland Hunt Club, The quality of the fields & high level of service has them all wanting to go back as often as possible. Mendle treated my friends as his own. We limited out by 9. Thanks Brother

It was my oldest nephew’s first time hunting anything. It was a wild turkey. We had a guide whose English wasn’t the best but he was easy to get along with. The guide took us to the wild turkey and my oldest nephew harvested that amazing bird with an air rifle. It was an experience that he’ll never forget. Will definitely return with the other nephews for more bird hunting.

I went on President’s Day and the wind was absolutely horrible. It was my first time bird hunting in almost 4 years. We got one bird up, my dog (1st hunt since getting him) bumped another bird and that was about it. 1 bird in the bag and it seemed like the day was done. Mendel helped me out a lot and got me on a few more birds that he spotted. He didn’t have to help me out but he did. I had several more opportunities and went home with 3 birds total. All in all it was a great day!
